This Week @ Hive (January 4th - January 8th)
Let me start this week's message by saying THANK YOU!
I cannot express how much I have appreciated your support and patronage this past year. Hive went from a dream to a functioning reality in 2021 and I cannot wait to see what 2022 has in store.
There will be A LOT of changes in 2022. Most are extremely exciting, and I think they will all be beneficial for the growth of Hive as a business and a brand. I can't wait to start sharing all the new ideas, products and services that we will start rolling out in the next couple of weeks. Keep your eyes and ears peeled as we start to roll those out.
Big Change # 1 - I think the most obvious change will be the absence of my OG employee, Alex. She has accepted her first big girl job and is moving on to bigger things. She has been with me since opening night, and I honestly cannot imagine running Hive without her. As a friend, I am ridiculously proud and excited for her future. As her boss, I'm still a little salty about her leaving. I guess I'll get over it, but she will be missed beyond measure at Hive. She will still make special appearances behind the bar but, if you know her, you know she will appear more often as a customer than as a bartender.
Big Change # 2 - We will be closed for lunch for the next few weeks. With Alex's departure and Emily returning to school, we are short staffed again. I refuse to work the staff that I do have into the ground to make lunch happen. Once we hire a few new staff, we'll get it back up and running.
Big Change # 3 - I will now be posting blog/newsletters at leak. Want to know what is going on at Hive for the next couple of weeks? This will be the place to find out. I'm also in the process of updating the website again and events will be posted on the calendar as soon as they are scheduled.
UPCOMING EVENT INFORMATION
Friday, January 7th at 7 PM we will be having our first Crafts and Cocktails. If you love nothing more than getting together with your friends and having a laugh over drinks, then you’ll be very excited to hear that we’ve discovered how you can make that experience even more fun! How is that possible, you ask?! With a little injection of all things crafty!
This month's craft will be Snowflake String Art! It's been a warm winter and I fear this may be our best chance at seeing a snowflake in this balmy weather. $15 will get you all of your supplies, step by step instructions given by an instructor, and a glass of your favorite wine or beer.
RSVP to the event by Friday, January 7th at 12 PM to let us know you're coming. You can RSVP by letting us know on the event Facebook post, or by RSVPing to the event on our website.
On Saturday, January 8th, we will have our Resolution Ruiner event. I feel like 8 days is long enough to say that we tried, right? At this event, we will be introducing our new mimosa flavors! We try to change them up seasonally so say goodbye to fall's apple cider and pomegranate and say hello to our new favorites...

As with all of our special events, we will be offering $5 mimosa glasses and $15 mimosa flights. Come by on Saturday and try them out!
Wednesday, January 12th, we will have our first Customer Appreciation Night of the year! At Hive, we truly appreciate our customers and want to give you guys a small token of that appreciation.
